A report claiming Town accepted a £1 million offer from Huddersfield for striker Kayden Jackson just prior to the 11pm deadline is wide of the mark, TWTD understands, although they did make a late loan approach.

According to Sky Sports the Blues verbally accepted a bid of £1 million plus add-ons from the Terriers for Jackson but with there being a question whether the paperwork was rubber-stamped before the deadline.

We understand that no such offer was accepted, however, Huddersfield did make a late loan move for the 26-year-old frontman but too late in the day for the Blues to consider.

Town would almost certainly have wanted to add a replacement if Jackson had moved on, something they wouldn't have had time to do even if Huddersfield had made an otherwise acceptable offer.

The fact that other teams are looking at him just proves the point that the management team are not getting the best out of him. Funny how our star players Downes, Dozzell and Woolfenden did not get bids turned down just shows they are not as good as we think they are.

If, repeat if, we get promoted or stay in this division x big clear out required. Bigger earners Chambers,Skuse, Judge, Sears, and Jackson, Nolan,Nsiala, should go, Rebuild with younger players and bringing in decent,solid experienced players where needed, eg, CB, CM and CF.

In a few cases we have players who are simply not up to scratch/over the hill. But, whatever your thoughts on Jackson, you are never going to get the best out of anyone by continuously playing out of position/not playing to their strengths. In general, how can you possibly build a cohesive unit when you are stifling their creativity. The confidence ebbs away, frustration and mistakes begin to grow(penalties, own goals, sending offs). A negative approach has reaped what it has sown. 46 clean sheets still only provides 46 points if you dont attack/players in the box/shots on target/goals..............does thay take much analysis!?!?

Yes, it was a terrible tackle, but as we've seen time and time again, a good manager would defend his players, saying the usual “ yes it was a bad tackle, but it was clumsy, not deliberate. He's not that type of player etc etc etc' and then dealt with it behind closed doors. Unfortunately for us, we have a brainless moron as a manager with no concept of man management who hung Jackson out to dry at every possible opportunity. We all know he's not a great player, but why would he now want to play for this clown who is clearly happy to blame anyone and everyone else for his massive failings at this club. No wonder he was after a loan move.

I think he is getting some unfair press here, LAMBERT's one up front clearly does not suit his style of play. Put someone up front alongside him, yes TWO up front and we might end up being pleasantly surprised ....
