George Burley is likely to name Pablo Couñago, Alun Armstrong and Fabian Wilnis in the starting line-up at Stoke after the three impressed in Thursday night's UEFA Cup match against FK Sartid.

Armstrong scored the goal while Couñago was a constant thorn and Wilnis provided an attacking threat, particularly from wing-back in the second half. His likely inclusion tends to suggest a 3-5-2 formation would employed at the Britannia.

Burley said of the strike duo: "I'm tempted to use Pablo and Alun together on Sunday. They showed against Sartid they could play together and both did very well.

"Pablo is used to the English game now and is developing into a top-class player. Alun has had problems with injuries but has come back looking sharp and hungry.

"Darren Bent has played a lot of games already and has started to look a bit tired in the last couple of games so we will see how that goes."

Marcus Bent also looks as if he'll be a sub in a game when, as a former Port Vale player, he may get a few boos from Stoke fans.

Darren Ambrose is a concern with a calf injury but is in the squad.

Squad: Marshall, Pullen, Wilnis, Clapham, McGreal, Venus, Wright, Hreidarsson, Brown, Gaardsøe, Holland, Magilton, T Miller, Ambrose, George, Couñago, Armstrong, D Bent and M Bent.
