Keeper Kits Unveiled
Friday, 4th Jun 2021 12:57

Town have unveiled the two new goalkeeper kits for the 2021/22 season.

The keepers' kits are not currently available for order but will go on general sale in due course.

Yesterday, the home strip was released with the away kit to be revealed later in the month.

Black good. Yellow bad

actually prefer this to the home kit, better neckline and no pinstripes. Like the rippling effect on it too.

I always think it's weird that the keepers get a completely different style of kit and not just a different colour

Someone else said the same the other day, but bring back psychedelic goalkeeper kits, the weirder the better.

I liked the one that could change between orange and pink ;)
By the way, was it actually orange or pink?

Yellow and black is better than yellow and green but no yellow at all would have been better. I hope whoever wears it doesn't where green boots

Interesting that Holy is modelling it not Cornell who was definitely the better of the 2 under Cook's leadership

But will he be wearing it?

Prefer the neck line to the round neck of the home shirt (but round necks are current trend). This template in white with black trim would make a very nice away shirt.
MerseyBlue; It was UEFA and FIFA that outlawed the multicolour psychedelic GK shirts. Personally, I prefer the good old days when GKs would wear the same shorts and socks as outfield players.

I think those look quite nice.

You would have thought this rules out a black and white away kit then?

Naze, I don't think they'll be a problem with black/white clashing with that yellow

Who actually gives a monkey's
The only thing that bothers me is that Holy has pulled his socks right up to his gusset

It's all about selling shirts really isn't it? I've got a feeling, not least just from reading these few comments, that we aren't going to sell very many yellow ones. The black one is top notch.

Decent kits. Hopefully none of the current incumbents will be wearing them.

Sorry, but hate yellow

Paul Cooper often wore red. That would do.

Just watched the ITFC official unveiling of the blue kit. Downes, Andre and Woolfy featuring. Can we assume those will be on the list of players PC wants to keep?
Would make sense

According to my ITFC shirt chart 1878-2010 we had 3 different yellow shirts between 1969-1977
