Excellent! In other news, has the Harper deal fallen through? Gone very quiet.

very good news as he should be staying.

seems all 3,4 or 5 transfers have fallen through. Very slow news week indeed - which is surprising given our need to get players in so they begin training on the 26 June. Some things never change do they - whoever the owner is.

Don't know but im taking for granted that Harper is a single man and might having second thoughts about moving down to sleepy Suffolk compared to the bright lights of Birmingham.

I think it's more to do with other offers coming in! Any player putting city lights higher in n his priories than the football club is not what we want here IMO!

Blue Monday podcast with TWTD will answer some of the questions.

On there they say the Harper deal is done but with a change of manager CEO it's hard to get them to say the deal is done. So really it when they announce the deal.

It's good to know KYV is 100% in the plans for next year but then Dozzell was in the new kit video/photoshoot: as for a slow week in terms of transfers. We can't outbid championship clubs unless we overpay for players…. Which also then creates an issue with squad morale if someone is earning far more than others. Fans need to be realistic as does the manager and new owners. I also suspect as the owners have been bragging about how much the'll back Cook and the manager has I turn openly devalued the current players, most of the squad come
Start of the season will be here and de-motivated given the manager has said he doesn't rate them.

It is going to take a while to get new players in when you are offering Jackson in part exchange

Inevitably agents will be holding out for the best deal and quite possibly a lot of players are still on holiday and still contracted to clubs. The deals to date seem to be out of contract players who will of course be keen to get fixed up with a new club. The ones with a club have less pressure on them to make a decision and can string it out in the hope a better offer comes along. When is doesn't the market will ramp up. I expect a big clearout before the deadline even if it is only to get wages off the bill.

good, but im more interested in signing decent players and getting a team together before the summer is out we need to hit the ground running or at least a fair old jog when we kick off.A lot of fans are on a high with all the changes, further failures after past number of years will not go down well, a slow start will cast doubts and unrest .

Christ even this post turns into a moanfest about signings it's unreal. Most contracts won't be able to to be signed until July 1st and/or others are on holiday as well. Brand new owners, Chairman and CEO who have only been here about a month or so and they're getting grief off the same old posters on here and not given a chance yet 14 years under evans decline was ok 🙄

Well at least we one player is staying!

Stay patient people Rome wasn't built in a day. It will take time and we need to get the right players in for the right prices not just getting numbers in.

Stay positive it's exciting!

Then of course we might be able to complete any deals at the moment as all the candidates are playing in the Euro's at the moment.......

If only........

Oh.... I have just woken up.

Seriously, there does come a time when you have to move on from a deal if the prospective candidates are stringing it out with their agent to try and leverage better deals elsewhere as there is every chance that you may then miss out on your second or third options.

BBP, im not moaning about it, just anxious about the situation as time is of the escense as they say, its a BIG ask to vertualy change the entire squad as is planned, and hope to get a team to bond and play the way a manager wants, we do need to get going quickly, nobody wants to be listening to tales of woe about team needing time to bond , manager hasnt found his best 11 ect ect , we have had all that crap for years . Cook has done nothing with the inherited squad [whatever the reasons] he needs to be seen to be doing a good job asap if we are not to see another season of unrest that would be disasterous.

Dirty I'm not necessarily talking about you mate I'm talking about the same old people on every post. However not sure why you think everything will turn sour if we don't start off at a fast pace we've put up with 14 years of slowly declining and no one like bluarmy or others were allowed to say anything and Evans was being supported yet people on here expect us to go straight all out and up or it'll get sh!tty?? Why?? It may take longer than one season it took Burley 4 seasons to assemble his side as it did Robson as I've said no one has had to build a brand new team from scratch due to 20 odd players being out of contract due to the previous owners inadequacies season after season letting players contracts run out.

Signings will come, it's very early days. I do hope we offer more patience next season when things don't instantly gel! When the CEO publicly announces that only 10% of the squad will be staying there must be deals being done.

I see Max Power has joined Wigan instead of us. i thought he was on Cooks radar or was that just Media hype. If PC doesn`t make a move for Rotherhams Clark Robertson now he will end up going to a championship team. As for Harper, this deal has been going on for more than a week now. We could do with a truthful update.

Wigan seem very active… although not worried about losing out on Max Power, I do wonder if positive statements might end up being a case of not managing fans expectations. It does seem many on here think signings means improvement. Rational thought is about as rare as rocking horse s41t on here.
