Definitely worth a punt on the bench v Colchester. Could save some money on a back up midfielder. BTW that's 5 more than Jackson's managed in preseason in one game!
Says midfield but the lad plays left wing when I have seen him and he is seriously rapid, better still, has great acceleration. He will be being looked at just based on that, but throw goals in too, if he can show that eye for goal regularly, then a bench spot could be realistic.
Excellent to hear of such a promising talent coming through. With signings still to come I agree a bit of pre season infusion would be good, as we saw yesterday with Humpheys
Thanks for that video midastouch, he looks incredibly promising! Has good control of the ball and seems to have a good eye as well as being very quick. I hope we give him a go on Tuesday, see how he does against our reserves team
Dirtydingusmagee it's never the managers who let the kids go where on earth do you get that from!?? We're category two that's why cat one clubs can poach and we have absolutely NO CHOICE if they want to go. We kept missing out on category one if we hadn't we would've been the ones poaching the best kids but we're not.
If he is ready for the step up, no matter what his age, see Rooney aged 16, then we might as well give him a run out, would love to see him get a whole game in one of the last 2 friendlies, but only the gaffer knows if he is ready. As we have seen it's a big step up but excited to see him at some stage.
I haven't felt this positive about Town for many years, COYB!!!!
i read it as "featuring a number of average players.." bit harsh!! haha 5 goals outstanding get him in the first team! that's one more goal than jackson got in the entire 18/19 season (4). come on town! morecambe will be quaking in their boots!
