Home Matches Now Not All-Ticket
Thursday, 19th Aug 2021 15:00

Town’s home games, starting with Saturday’s match against the MK Dons, will no longer be all-ticket, the club has announced.

In line with recommendations from the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), following the return of fans at the start of the season, fixtures at Portman Road had been deemed all-ticket.

However, following consultation with the SAG, tickets will now be available up until kick-off, although none will be sold on the turnstiles.

Town are still recommending that tickets, which are available here, are bought before matchday where possible and that fans should arrive well ahead of the start of the game.

All other Covid protocols remain in place with fans aged 11 and over required to provide a negative lateral flow test or proof on request of full vaccination. Vaccine cards or a photo of the card will be accepted as proof.

Supporters may also be asked to provide photographic ID such as a passport or driving license, while a bank card will be accepted as proof of ID if none available.

Children under the age of 13 years will not need ID but their accompanying parent or guardian should be able to validate their details.

Last season we watched every match on I follow now we cant get because of shielding, my lady otherwise has been every season for the past 42 years myself the last 20 years now we can only watch on a Tuesdays which we hate. We go on TWTDS and ITFC website every day to see what's happening, the club and the EFL are missing out here the money they could make it would be good for the club to fight for fans like ourselves to root for the Town after all there are more fans than ground capacity.

Hi MaySixth no as it goes I would be so open to COVID and it would shall we say be bad for my health, it racks me off I spent 14 years in the military and have always been fit but over the last 2 years it was downhill from there. But there's nothing better having a song and shout from the North stand. I've told my lady to go and have some fun at PR but she wont leave me ( Bless her ).

I'm wondering IF we had been more successful this season. Would it be All-ticket, due to demand.

Nottsboy. There are ways of watching the Saturday games on ifollow. Unfortunately I dont know the names of the sites, but there are some foreign sites you can register with that u can get ifollow games on. Sorry couldnt help more but hope u can find the sites necessary. The efl cannot provide sat games on I follow for the same reason 3 o'clock games cant be televised live. That was relaxed during the lockdowns but now fans back in the stadiums it's back to normal.

Running out. Try reading the story. It quite clearly states the reason why the matches are now not all ticket now. Even the friendlies were all ticket despite only small crowds expected, so of course its so nothing to do with results. Only the fans who want to make something negative out of everything on here could try to twist this story into being something it's not.

Does anyone no rules around using someone else's season ticket for Saturday, would that be a problem regarding Covid etc?

You should be able to use your friends ticket but obviously need to prove your own covid test and id to go with it

Hi Nottsboy, I live abroad and so can watch the games on Saturdays but to watch the BBC or ITV online I need to use a VPN service such as NordVPN (I'm not plugging them, it's just the one I use). That should be able to make your computer appear as if it were abroad and let you stream the games on Saturdays. I hope this helps because I think it's going to be a good season and the positive results are just around the corner. :)

Surely real fans support the club win or lose. The fans staying away because of a bad start aren't real fans are they?
