Blues and Wigan Linked With Palace Defender
Sunday, 22nd Aug 2021 09:26

Town and Wigan are being linked with a loan move for Crystal Palace centre-half Jaroslaw Jach.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the 27-year-old is a loan target of both the Blues and Latics.

Twice-capped former Poland international Jach joined the Eagles in 2018 but has made only one League Cup appearance for the South Londoners, spending his time on loan at Caykur Rizespor in Turkey, Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, back in Poland with Rakow Czestochowa twice and Dutch side Fortuna Sittard.

Prior to joining Palace, the 6ft 4in tall centre-half had been with Lechia Dzierzoniow and Zaglebie Lubin in his home country.

Having signed George Edmundson from Rangers and Cameron Burgess from Accrington this summer and with Luke Woolfenden and Toto Nsiala remaining from last season’s squad, the Blues moving for another centre-half would be a surprise.

Blue Again... Agree, can never understand the obsession with up and down votes on here. Just discuss, leave opinions and move. Wonder what it would be like if the vote options were removed.

Marinersnose Wolfenden, best defender?? Waved a leg at a ball, got beaten, chased back, fouled the player who beat him, free kick taken, Dons are level. If he was the best defender, then the others must be bad!!

Marinersnose. Are u on some kind of wind up? Burgess is way better than any of our other cbs. Both in the air and on the ground. Think ur the one who wasnt at the match. While overall I domt think woolfenden played badly yesterday, he was better on tuesday. And much of that is down to having Burgess beside him, talking to him throughout the match. Yes, he gave the freekick away they equaliser from but hes hardly the only defender thatll give fouls away outside the box? Do think that once edmumdsom is fit hes likely to be the one to miss out. But for you to suggest that burgess will only be backup is frankly, laughable.

Has no one considered our problems at the back might be down to bad coaching? We have three first team coaches who as far as I know have no first team coaching experience and no expertise in defensive coaching? We were not terrible at the back before, just goal shy which built pressure on the defence.

Monkey_Blue I've said all the way along the coaching staff are my biggest concern especially there experience. None of them have been 1st team coaches Kitman, u23 coach none I don't think are defensive coaches. So how do you cut out the errors unless your hoping the new experienced players can guide the youngsters. I suppose time will tell just have to hope we can lift ourselves out of this hole we've dug.

Seems Cook has only one plan.

Buy our way out of League One.

Cook needs a no 2 with a calm tactical way about him. All the great managers had great no 2s. I think ashton should be looking at this aspect of our team. Also i believe we need a kante type ball winning midfielder. He needs to come in quick as i think hes our missing link. Super blues forever 💙
