We don't like pressure do we?

Their first goal was shocking defending...all drawn over to one side of the pitch and a player literally on his own...schoolboy stuff!...we won't be going anywhere soon defending like this.

Does Hladky ever actually make any "good" saves and the 2nd goal is an appalling one to concede at any level

TimmyH

Won't be seeing that again, our defensive coach will sort it out.

Everybody around me was moaning that the first goal should have been disallowed for a shove. As always I reserve judgement until I see the footage, and all I saw was a defender who should have been stronger and was muscled off the ball. For whatever reason Donacien got drawn across and three defenders were left in no mans leaving their fella in acres of space. I'm at the stage now where I think the Asda distribution warehouse could put a team together and we'd succumb to them late on at a set piece. Just a couple of burly 6 footers is all it needs. Desperately disappointing that this is occurring on an almost weekly basis.

Really bad first goal to concede. Well on top a the time with only 5 minutes to the break.

Poor defending from Burgess and stems from his mistake.. Just needs to stay goal side and force the forward to stall or pass back. Sells himself and Donacien has no alternative but to come across and fill the vacant centre back space....as Edmundson has to close the forward down. Retreating midfield really should be looking out for the overlapping player

In several games we have conceded from long throws/corners.......surely Cook should have looked at the problems they were causing us in the second half and thought about bringing on a Toto to help negate the issue

A primary school team would have been ashamed at the defending for the first Cambridge goal. And looking at how weak Hladky was for the second, it does make you wonder how he kept all those clean sheets for Salford last season. Basically we seem to have bought a set of midfielders and forwards fit for the Championship and not bothered with the defenders to get us out of the blood and thunder of League 1.

We concede so many late goals from set pieces or long balls into the box (Cambridge, Wimbledon, Cheltenham etc). We shouldn't have to but surely the sensible thing to do would be to bring someone like Toto on for Penney in the last 5 to help deal with balls into the box as obviously the problem isn't going away.

Agree with all above

Hope we are in touching distance of the play off at Christmas and we use the transfer window to get a keeper and a couple of defender.

No problems with our attack and the system we play we will always conceded goals but not goals like today they were shocking

So we let James Wilson leave for free and we replaced him with some of these ropey looking defenders that cost us plenty? Seems a bad trade on this evidence.
