Barrow Replay Date Set
Monday, 6th Dec 2021 20:36

Town’s FA Cup second-round replay against Barrow at Holker Street will be played on Wednesday 15th December and will be shown live on ITV (KO 7.45pm).

The Blues and Bluebirds drew 0-0 in the first staging of the tie at Portman Road on Saturday.

The tie was the only game played over the weekend which ended in a draw and therefore was certain to be screened live.

The winner of the tie will travel to Barnsley in the third round.

Here's a good question, when were Ipswich last live on ITV?

ringwoodblue...that is a good question....Ipswich 0 Millwall 0 in May 1996? Probably missed something more recent, but can't think of any...

Getting flashbacks to the last time an ITFC FA Cup replay was broadcast live on national TV...

ITV or ITV 4 ? Surely we can't be prime time viewing

I was quietly hoping for a draw at Portman Road. Barrow will be my 89th club out of the 92. Good point about avoiding Roy's nonsense babbling on ITV by going to the game! COYB.

WorcesterPark - that's definitely the answer I would have given. I remember agonisingly watching the game desperate for us to score the goal that I think would've taken us into the playoffs but it never came.

It's on ITV4, with a low quality picture on Freeview.

Was that 0-0 with Millwall the same game that Escape To Victory was showing on BBC 2 at the same time meaning John Wark featured on 50% of available terrestrial television at the time? ;o)

Sorry, read the original post as TV, rather than ITV, as you were....

Is this on Wednesday because of ITV demands? Bearing in mind we play Sunderland on the following Saturday, surely , considering travel and recovery, Tuesday would have been much better. Guessing it won't be full strength which will lead to another underwhelming performance on live TV
