Nsiala Completes Fleetwood Medical
Friday, 14th Jan 2022 09:39

Town defender Toto Nsiala’s permanent move to Fleetwood is set to be confirmed this afternoon.

According to the Blackpool Gazette, the 29-year-old completed a medical at Highbury yesterday.

Nsiala will be reunited with former Blues striker Ellis Harrison at Fleetwood, the frontman having joined the Cod Army from Portsmouth earlier in the week.

Both players signed for Town in the summer of 2018 under Paul Hurst’s management.

Nsiala is expected to make his Fleetwood debut in Saturday’s home game against leaders Rotherham United.

Good move for everyone. Thinking about potential January signings, I'd say another Centre Back that could fit into the style of 3 at the back that McKenna is playing to give us cover could be a priority over other positions.

Ellis Harrison.... in the friendly at MK Don's in his pre season with us I thought he looked like he would cause real trouble for defences...... how wrong I was.

As for Toto, good luck. Shame he couldn't quite step up here

Harrison made his debut last Saturday and scored the only goal. Therefore, he won't make his debut on Saturday !!

We need ball playing centre backs if McKenna sticks to the current system generally. There's a pacey ball playing CB at Salford…. Think his name is Ndaba. 😉

Thank you Toto for always giving your best - a solid (if limited) deender - let's not forget on occasions he put in MOTM performances and was an abslute wall.

Hopefully he thanks us for his time here by gifting us a penalty or two on 5th March!

Jokes aside - Good luck at your new club!

Barty - mentioned elsewhere is a free to offload wages to allow an incoming signings under FFP, as Town are right on the limit.

More of Hurst's hopeless, over-priced signings leaving on free transfers & finding their level - which was never the Championship.

Wish you all the best Toto, too many times our midfield went missing leaving our defense wide open. Not his fault worked his socks off I'm sure he will do well at Fleetwood

I don't want to criticise Toto, or all the other expensive lower league hurst signings. Toto, Jackson, Harrison, Nolan, Edwards, Donacien et al weren't responsible for the price tag or the squad. All could play at championship level… if surrounded by better players than we had left once the better ones departed after micks departure. You'd think at least one would have shown they were better than league one. This is where the likes of Tabb, Douglas, Berra, waghorn, Murphy etc showed the foolishness of gambling on finding a lower league gem rather than signing players who could perform. Mings was a great example. Low cost and if he didn't work out it didn't derail the side. I trust McK to sign players who he knows can perform rather than hoping he's the next Vardy… almost as rare as rocking horse s41t statistically.
