Martijn Reuser has signed a three year deal with Town. Manager George Burley said at this morning's press conference: "I’m thrilled we have finally agreed everything with Martijn and he has signed a three year contract. Martijn did superbly well during his loan period at the Club and I’m sure he will be a tremendous acquisition to our squad for the forthcoming season in the Premiership." He was not alone in his praise for Reuser, chairman David Sheepshanks added: "We are in the enviable position of knowing exactly who we have signed and what we are getting following Martijn’s three months playing with the first team squad at the end of last season. He is a popular lad who has already become a big favourite with the fans. On a personal note, I am absolutely delighted Martijn is joining us and wish him the very best of luck, good form and many goals over the coming years at Ipswich Town Football Club."

Town are to announce a home friendly with Italian Serie A side Bologna for August 12th. This will be Town's last friendly before embarking on the Premiership. Bologna include Swede Kennet Andersson currently, although there are rumours that he is set to depart.
