Season Ticket Sales Approach 15,300
Friday, 20th May 2022 09:52

Town’s season ticket total ahead of 2022/23 is now close to 15,300 with sales set for a seven-day pause from Monday.

The figure currently stands at 15,277, already significantly higher than 2021/22’s ultimate figure of 13,800.

The Blues are on target for a 13-year season ticket sales high, having sold 15,900 following Roy Keane’s appointment as boss ahead of 2009/10.

Sales will be paused for a week from Monday 23rd May until Monday 30th May to allow the ticket office to process seat moves and requests from supporters. Season ticket holders wanting to move their seats should email mainticketoffice@itfc.co.uk.

Fans purchasing season tickets before 10am on Monday 23rd May paying via Direct Debit will have their payments spread over 11 months, while those committing to tickets from Monday 30th May with have their payments spread over 10 months.

Full details on season ticket prices, which have been frozen, can be found here.

Excellent I think this shows the minority on here moaning about Ashton or whoever that anyone who's actually gone to games last season especially since McKenna came in that there's vast improvement in the way we play and players we have. Onwards and upwards COYB's

Yes when you think under Mick McCarthy the crowds were down to 12,500 and now we've got 15,000 season ticket holders and growing proves people will come and watch entertaining football even though we were mid table. God knows what's going to happen if we're near the top of the table after say 10 games or so. We definitely need to increase the capacity of the stadium. But this creates a massive problem as it takes time to do this. Even if it was done in pre season it would probably mean closing part of the ground at the start of the following season.

Good to see. Historically how many additional season tickets get sold after the early bird discount? I'm not sure we will sell a huge amount more although a couple of high profile signings could tempt people I suppose.

16000 is likely and is a massive figure for the current league standing. Should mean gates of 22-24k are common next season, on a par with 20 years ago under Royle. Proud to be a blue. Let's see a storming start next season!!!

Loving all the positivity. We saw gates around 26000 at the back end of the season, that should be our goal for July and August
MA has publically shared his goal to average 28000, he won't admit it but it's my belief when we do he will be able to get the investors to rebuild Cobbold and grow the stadium, probably to a maximum of around 37500.
There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't, and as fans this bit is within our control. The club is in great hands, it's safe, well run and the football is good.
I'm looking forward to seeing our great club rise again and proud to be part of supporting that regeneration!! Let's get friends and family on board and get those numbers higher

Our attendances and season ticket sales defy logic. For all the positive signs under KM, ultimately an underwhelming season, our worst league position from a full season for 59 years! I've renewed mine with cautious optimism, but I hope all at the club realise that if they fail to achieve again, the positivity won't last. Next season is make or break.

Yes agree AlanG296 McKenna's trial period is over must deliver next season and im confident he will. I remember when Lambert took us down from the championship i could not believe the excitement and optimism for the following season i think he won 1 game in 19 the crowd were even chanting his name. Cannot see this happening with McKenna youve only got to look at the players who have improved since he been at the club and the team looks so much more organised. The signings in the summer are going to be crucial to our success.

Colchester can have their city status , for what it is worth, but they will always be in our shadow. Two places of similar population but just look at the gulf between them when it comes to following their team. Up the town !

We've seemed to have got a new generation of supporters, even under Lambert in league one attendances were on the increase...maybe it might be because we're now a big fish in a small pond and the influence of the new owners has no doubt contributed.
