Former Town striker Marcus Stewart has pledged £1,000 to a fund aimed at helping Huddersfield Town out of financial trouble. Stewart joined the Blues from the Terriers in January 2000 after spending four years with the Yorkshire side.

Stewart is one of a number of ex-players to have contributed to the Grand Roll of Honour. Commercial manager Mike Smith has been impressed to hear from the club's old boys: "The response has been fantastic and many of the players, including Stewy, have written to say how much they enjoyed their days playing for Town."

Huddersfield are reported to be £4 million in debt.
