Cherries Trial for Miller
Cherries Trial for Miller

Town central defender Justin Miller is set to spend time with Third Division Bournemouth according to Cherries' boss Sean O'Driscoll.

Miller was told last week that his contract at Portman Road would not be extended when it runs out in the summer and has a number of clubs chasing him.

O'Driscoll is keen that the South African choose a move to Dorset: "Justin has played against us a couple of times with Leyton Orient. He's a ball playing centre-half and recently we've contacted Ipswich and Justin himself about a possible move.

"At the moment, he does have three or four clubs interested in him so he'll have to take a look at the different clubs before he makes a choice.

"He has decided to come down to Bournemouth to see what we're about, he may feature in the reserve game against Colchester on Wednesday depending on what time he arrives.

"Justin is being a sensible footballer at the moment, he's seeing what options he has and he's going to be talking to people to see where his career can progress."

Miller, a friend of ex-Town youngster and current Bournemouth striker Alan Connell, was on loan at Leyton Orient before Christmas and the east London club appear to be the front-runners for his signature. Torquay, Northampton and Carlisle are also interested.
