Moore Close to Hull Move
Thursday, 11th Jul 2024 13:28

Former Blues striker Kieffer Moore is reportedly on the verge of joining Hull City from AFC Bournemouth.

Moore, 31, spent the second half of last season back on loan with Town, where he previously had a spell between January 2017 and January 2018, scoring seven goals which helped the Blues to win promotion back to the Premier League after 22 years away.

According to various reports, the Wales international is very close to confirming a move to the Tigers with an accord reached between the clubs and a three-year contract agreed with the player.

While Moore is on his way to the MKM Stadium, the Blues are continuing to work on the double deal which would see Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene leave East Yorkshire for Suffolk.

Is that so we can include him in a triple raid on Hull?

Good move for him to try to win back-to-back promotions; will always be a Town cult hero after last season :^D

He was the answer, when George Hirst was out injured.

Would've loved to see him back here permanently but he'd prob be 3rd choice behind Hirst & Delap..he's at an age now where he needs 1st team football every week.

Best of luck Kieffer & thanks for last season.

One of the best around at Championship level. Without him last season we we wouldn't have made it. Just look at the results in the 10 games prior to him joining compared to the 10 after.

Having said that, not mobile enough for Premier League where a lot of the time we will be playing without the ball and needing the striker to chase it down and feed off scraps. Hirst and Delap both possess this skillset and are probably better at bringing our 10s and wingers into play.

Wish KM all the best and thank him for the memories.

He did enough to overcome his first spell at the club, a solid Championship player who would be on the fringe at Premier League level. Without him, the average height in our team is about 25 inches less, as our jokes that exaggerate his height have become a thing of the past. An important part of our final promotion push, best of luck with Hull, who now need to rebuild.

I'd prefer to sign Moore and let Delap move to Hull !!

And what of Delap? Seems to be taking an age to finalise and announce despite reportedly Bern agreed and medical passed?

blues1: it doesn't make it complicated, it was a tongue in cheek riposte to Hoppy's suggestion that Moore was going to Hull and would then get included in the Greaves / Philogene deal. And more generally a comment on all the fervent speculation and transfer imminence creating hubris.

Was great signing for us to get us over the line the type we needed all them years ago when kuqi got injured and scowcroft was a flop he got us over the line he nice to see him sign. But they must have budgets and quantities of players they need maybe too much of a luxury to sign him as well as others
