Juve Eyeing Muric Report
Tuesday, 6th Jan 2026 12:43

Italian giants Juventus are reported to be keeping tabs on Blues keeper Aro Muric, who is on a season-long loan in Serie A with Sassuolo.

Muric, 27, has impressed both for the Neroverdi, who are 10th in the table following their promotion, and Kosovo this season, keeping four successive clean sheets in games for club and country in October, although none since then.

According to Tuttosport, Muric has been one of the goalkeeping surprises of the season and as a result Juve are following his progress carefully, along with that of teammate Tarik Muharemovic, a Bosnia and Herzegovina centre-half.

Muric joined Sassuolo on loan for the season in August with the deal including an option for the Kosovan international to move permanently for €10 million (£8.7 million) next summer.

Reports in Italy in November claimed last season’s Serie B champions are keen to secure a permanent deal in January.

Muric is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2028 following his £10 million summer-of-2024 move from Burnley.

All goal keepers make good saves but the better ones make fewer errors that's were Muric fell down im afraid. Dispite this McKenna stuck by him but under pressure from his defenders he had to leave him out. The interest from Juventus is just a rumour and would probably be going there as second choice.

Italian league is slower than PL which suits his game. Let’s hope we get a bidding war going and get more than the £10m we paid for him. He could turn out to be a good signing who we actually make a profit on rather than Szmodics and Ogbene who we will have to give away to get off wage bill.

Best keeper by a mile still on our books ( with no disrepect to CW and AP ). Forced out by the usual group of boo boys, who naturally moved on to Jack Clarke and Jaden Philogene ( funny, you don't hear any complaints there now ) and now moved on to Kasey McAteer. Actually before tonights match against Juventus ironically, using FotMob's ratings, he's currently the 5th highest ratest keeper in Italy. Not bad for someone " not good enough " for a Championship side. Best of luck for the future Aro.

Best keeper by a mile but most errors leading to goals last season (from just 18 games!!) Some of his errors were Sunday league level, ie Bournemouth at home rushing out- absolute suicide! You had to wonder!!!

Armchaircritic59 dont cate what clown rating apps you read! We have eyes! We can see!
As for the so called boo boys(people who obviously you dont agree with) there is no way fans at our club or any well run club will influence a manager or board to move a player on!
Never heard something so ridiculous

Problem for AM was he was trying to adjust to a new club and area, a different way of playing and had a defence in front of him that was a solid as a half formed jelly. As for your eyes churchmans, I have a booking at specsavers soon, you're welcome to join me. I'm sure FotMob etc would like to know your appreciation of their efforts. One thing I would agree with you about, you do need visual evidence as well as the hard stats to get a complete picture of a player, most essentially when dealing with potential transfers.

Oh and I'm more than happy to take some of the abuse off Kasey McAteers shoulders, at least it won't affect me and never has. Mind you I don't have a price tag someones stuck on me of 12M!

Look at isak! 125mill for a flop(so far) my point that just because a player is good at a club does not mean he will be good at another!

Not your hopes for an out of form player infact we aint seen any form
What do you want to do? Play mcateer every week and we cheer and whoop for him in the hope it gives him confidence?
I hope he does play great as we all do but
No he is on tens of thousands of pounds a week im sure he aint bothered by some negative comments you seen on here(i have not seen any) he has to impress the manager first and foremost to get game time Not every player we sign will be succsesfull

The usual disgusting so called "fans" got their way & forced him out. I always thought he was a work in progress, young for a keeper with huge potential. Far above our present two IMO . So it looks likevthe boo boys will force another out in McCateer, what a bunch of twxts.

Cadiar, that's the way it is I'm afraid. I expect some will look at the result of tonights game at Sassuolo against Juventus ( 0-3 ) and assume Muric had a poor one. Well the more the game went on it was pretty much Juve v Muric, would have been a few more without him. Not saying one match makes anyone a great keeper, but the figures are there to back it up.

I don't have any problem with anyone not being a fan of any particular player, I've had a few myself over the decades, but abuse and constant negative comments are not the way forward, something I've never done. If any player is finding things a bit tough or for that matter anyone in any walk of life, what is most likely to help them, support and encouragement, or abuse and constant negativity about them? I know which one I'd prefer.

“Forced him out…” Are you for real?! If he was good enough and not a calamity waiting to happen he’d still be here…

Ok, I've said enough about AM, I'm happy to call a truce and let the future decide as to whether he's a top keeper or a calamity. There is just one thing I'll say before I " draw stumps " I would never take an 18 match segment out of any players career in any position and define him by that , whether it's good or bad. Unfortunately quite a lot have already defined Kasey McAteers and he's started the large amount of 8 times for the club. Hardly enough to get a grass stain on his kit. I'll wait to see who's next.
