Muric Wins Cap in Kosovo Defeat
Sunday, 31st May 2026 20:56

Blues keeper Aro Muric won his 51st Kosovo cap as his side lost 2-1 to Czechia in a friendly in Prague this afternoon.

Muric spent the season on loan at Sassuolo but said towards the end of the campaign that he wouldn’t be returning to the Serie A club next term.

The 27-year-old, who has another two years left on his Town contract, was recently linked with Valencia, while during the season it was claimed Juventus and other Italian sides had taken note of the former Burnley man’s displays for his loan club.

Muric appears unlikely to be in the Blues’ plans for their return to the top flight having endured a frustration 2024/25 campaign.

Kosovo, who missed out on joining the Czechs at the World Cup finals after losing out in the play-offs, host Andorra for another friendly next Sunday.

I would happily give him a second chance but can't see that happening so let's get a decent fee and re-invest in a decent keeper. He has had a good season in Italy. Bigger teams than us seem to be watching him. He lost his confidence with us and fans got onto him, but is back to his best now xx

jazzback, I've nothing against the guy whatsoever, he's now proved himself a top keeper in Italy, but that's simply very unlikely to happen. He'd be roasted by a fair size section of his own supporters looking to seize upon any tiny chance to say " I told you so ". We and he best move on.

McKenna was reluctant to leave him out of the side dispite his howlers but his defence had lost complete confidence in him that's the fact im afraid. I would be amazed if he is given another chance at the club as he's not the most popular player with the other players. Looks like being another season's long loan.

If he's up for it, I'd have him back. The shirt is Walton's but would love to see him and Palmer fight for it. Don't care what the haters say - he's a good keeper. Just had a wretched few months with us where his confidence was on the floor. Juventus and Valencia are interested in him ffs!

Linkboy13. Mckenna was reluctant to leave him out, bcse at tge time je waa left oit due to injury, he was joint 4th with Pickford, for saves made in the pl. As for not being popular with other players? Thats just the sort of rubbish our fans make up if a player isn't having the best time of things. Always down to something like that? It isnt tho. Always wanting to make things out to be more than just what they are.

According to blues 1 stats he was one of the best keepers in the Premier league funny how clubs are not queuing up to buy him.
