You know what a special person and manager Keiran is when players who moved on during the journey and some that did not play much still hold him in such high regard.

Whatever the future holds, he will be able to look back on his time here as a job well done. I will look back on it as up there with the best of times. Optimism, seeing something rebuilt, promotions, some terrific players and good, interesting football.

I have been very lucky to witness times I never thought I’d see again and he has played a huge part in that.

One things for sure. When he returns in whatever capacity, he will always get a warm welcome here.

Nice to see Woolfy and Hladky still have love for the man. Nothing from Broadhead?

What an emotional few days... Football eh...

The last 4.5 years have been incredible. Football sets many people's mood up for the entire week and probably has more of an impact on peoples day to day happiness then we realise... you can count on one hand the amount of disappointing performances or results over McKenna's reign and most of the time things were put right in just a few days! Like many Town fans, these past 4 years have been the pinnacle of our supporting lives and thats down to McKenna. As many have said, the way he represented the club and the fans and understood our Town has been first class. Its not just been him either; footballers take a lot of stick but the way the players have acted under his leadership, in the press, the community and on the pitch has been a joy - real role models and lads you'd want your kids to look up to.

I really hope we continue to build on whats been started...we have so much potential as a club but now McKenna has gone I feel safety is maybe more important then it was before... so the next appointment is huge. I dont think we need to have someone as influential as KM has been, or who plays as nice football, just someone the fans can get behind and who will keep us in the Prem. I am struggling for names... however (although i am not his biggest fan) the one thing MA has proven in his career is his ability to discover managerial talent - lets hope he can do it again!

Lets all look forward to the next chapter and hope its half as fun as the last one!

Hitting harder today esp seen so many comments from ex players who would normally have some sense of bitterness, but Keiran never allowed that to seep into our Club and understood how people leave a business/Club is even more important than how the come in. Thanks for so many amazing memories, special father-son memories only football can create, for helping give us our Club back and look forward to all your future successes. Goes without saying Keiran will be forever Blue and welcome at FPR in any capacity at any time. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

KM really is inspirational - his integrity, humility, dedication, warmth & intelligence are a pretty rare combination in any one person, on top of also being a rare talent as a manager and coach.

If im honest, id say this is potentially to do with his family and children not quite finished their academic year, deep down i dont see him stepping away for a year. But will maybe take a new role on in say August time.
Club wanted a decision now, so was left with no choice but to walk.
Mckenna is a big family man, when he celebrates, win, promotion he celebrates with family before anything.

Will club await World Cup being over before making a decision, really hope not.

Unfortunately I dont see the next manager making such a impact, but either way make a calculated decision and give the new manager time.

I think this is why you haven't seen ipswich's retained list, or too much about signings, (ogbene saying he maybe given a chance next season, new manager may rate him)
Think this is also why Chaplin made his decision, knowing the gaffer wasn't going to be here next season.

Feel like Wes Burns will be on his way too, sad but dont think he'll have the same pull as a day oner with the new manager.

Tough times, would like an unknown manager, none of who've weve already been linked to, like Mckenna was originally.

It takes a special person to manage a large group of players and to receive such glowing tributes from so many both past and present will live with him for the rest of his life.

Seeing all the players who helped us get from L1 to the PL 2 years ago, some who got let go without even making a PL debut & others who have left since praising the man who made the team better than the sum of all its parts did actually bring tears to my eyes.
Seen so many double promotion heroes leave the club over the last 2 years, the boss being just the latest.
No longer looking forward to the retained list. Going to lose at least a couple more and maybe even a triple promotion hero too.
When / if Wes goes it will finish me off.

The fact that he's left the club and hasn't jumped straight into another job is great credit to him and i think shows how much he really loves this club.

Also interesting that Chambo calls KMcK Boss too even though there was a 6 month gap between him leaving and McKenna arriving!

I have never ever seen such glowing tributes from players past and present is a testament to the man himself.
Chambers Delap, Hutchinson the list of ex players goes on, the fact that they bothered says it all.
To think some clowns were calling for his head earlier in the season and then you see what his pupils have to say, it makes you wonder if anyone is big enough at present to fit in his shoes.

I don't think I can add much more to the tributes above, had my say elsewhere, in fact all I can say, for someone who isn't religious is Amen! Oh and just also to say that football as in life, sometimes moves in mysterious ways. The KM story might not yet be complete at PR, one way or another.

Wonderful tributes across the board. We will miss him, but we will also find a way to honour him. A McKenna song or two, a bar or a hospitality area dedicated to his service, whatever and however it s done, Kieran McKenna will stay a big part of this generation of Town fans. At 62, he's made more of a mark on me in 4 full seasons than anybody else
