Dam, I thought I had done with the crying from this but as soon as the one from Chappers started, that set me off again. Brilliant video and well done to getting all these testamonials from players past and present. Once again thank you Kieran for everything, now go enjoy the deserved break and hopefully you stay in the area and we see you either back at PR in the future or just popping in for the odd game

A very moving tribute. He’s clearly had a massive impact on the players he’s worked with and is loved and respected by all of them.

Makes you realise what they, the club and the fans have lost.

This was incredibly emotional! It thought I had no tears left to shed. Every player in those clips played their part in our journey no matter how big or small. Bring a tear to a glass eye, and thoroughly deserved. One thing that’s instructive, there isn’t a member of the legacy group missing. The alchemy of that team, that dynamic, its sometimes impossible to replicate.., the same inputs, but different outcomes.

Sometimes it’s the perfect people, at the perfect time, that really was a special special group, and KM deserves full credit for giving them the leadership and platform they needed.

Almost nobody from the last two groups though. And I wonder if that’s one of many reasons.., this group hasn’t come together to that extent or even close. They haven’t suffered, come through adversity, and built those bonds that adversity and ultimate success build, the thirst to rise to a challenge and a dream, the desire to do it for the man to your left and right.

The breakdown of relations with Ashton, the relentless pace and toll on family, and the knowledge this group can’t reach a team dynamic he knows he can build.

I’m not sure he ever replicated what we had.., it might not be possible, because it’s so much more than results and success - it’s a community starved of success for so long, finding its identity, its voice, all brought together by a manager and group of players desperate to run through walls for each other.

He won’t get that at Celtic, where a 3-0 win isn’t good enough, or premier league clubs where players are increasingly detached from club identity.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him back one day - with a better structure and Ashton not the only football IQ in the room, he’d be bloody brilliant. Give him the talent ID and watch him go.

Wow what an incredibly emotional tribute from players past and present. Plenty of tearing up this end. Makes you realise what an exceptional coach, mentor and man he is.

Not that they'll see it, but this puts some of the media trying to stir in their place!! This is an example of how you leave a football club. Clearly and incredible man manager and chappers is right, he is underrated in a way, particularly when you see some comments on social media from fans of other clubs he's been linked with - Fulham, Brighton, Chelsea, United, would have all be lucky to have him as manager and would all be in a better position then they are now.

I have a young family and (like everyone) a busy job. I feel inspired by this McKenna situation and think we could all learn from it. Not that any of us can afford to leave our jobs for a year to spend time with family, but still... haha

An amazing manager and optimises everything about ITFC.

Time to start thinking about moving on, we need to confirm the new manager ASAP now and crack on with planning for the season ahead. Or at least a new signing or kit to take our minds off what's been an emotional week.

It's a shame to let the facts get in the way of a good story but it has now been confirmed that McKenna was interviewed for the Fulham job BEFORE he decided to take a "break". That throws a whole different light on the "I need a break" narrative and looks to me like he is just sulking because Ashton refused to budge on the £8 million release clause. Anyway the sooner the new guy gets here the better because hopefully he will give us a much better Prem season than McKenna did and more people will realise what a bang average manager he is (the seasons he finished behind Plymouth & Coventry are all the proof you need on that).

Stato he told Ashton he was taking a break at the end of the season long before Silva even left Fulham so stop talking rubbish. Anyway this is about player thanking him for the last 5 years not the last 5 weeks.

Marcus Harness alluding to the hours McKenna must have spent helping players with personal issues as well as their football development. In the world of football driven by money, it's going to be extremely difficult to find such a brilliant manager and human being as Kieran McKenna. Irreplaceable.

What was so nice was the players who have moved on showing their great love & respect for a man who did so much more for them than to make better players. Loved Freddie L's comments.

Says so much about how highly thought of Kieran was not only as a coach but also as a man that the club have put up these tributes to him & what he achieved here.

Also the fact that past players speak so highly of him & even still refer to him as boss is telling.

Though playing devils advocate as others have said it is curious that not many of this season’s signings have said anything…

Either way he will be fondly remembered as a legend

Wow, Wow, Wow. If that video didn't bring a tear to any Town fan nothing will. I know there were some players missing from the tributes, but what there were covered KMc tenure. KMc is truly a legend in such a short time.
