Thank you Joe for your immense contribution to the ITFC juggernaut. You might think you'll get lost in the churn, but believe me, you won't. You brought women's football back to Ipswich Town's fanbase, and no doubt were instrumental in the American investors' willingness to invest in the women's team as well as the men's.

Thank you for that. As someone who was born in the wrong decade to play women's football at a high level, I truly applaud your dedication and hard work. We would not be where we are in the WSL2 without your whole-souled devotion to the cause.

I wish you every success in your career going forward.

Deserves a lot of credit for the rise of the Womens team. Pity he won’t be here when we get to the WSL. The squad is strong enough to do that this season.

Sad to see Joe leave as he put so much time, effort and determination into progressing the ITFC women’s team and two promotions speak volumes for his qualities. It must be an enormous wrench to leave after so many years.

I remember the Ipswich Town women pre-Sheehan and the massive difference he made to a team that felt like it was stagnating. The injection of young talent from the academy and the change to energetic, attacking football was a revelation. Giving opportunities to the likes of Sophie Peskett, Paige Peake and EK whilst keeping the experience of Natasha Thomas brought success on and off the pitch with a greater connection between the fans and the club.

I can't be sure if I was among the 32 but I was certainly one of the 10,000 and I just wanted to express my appreciation to Joe for bringing excitement to Felixstowe and Portman Road as well as hope to a generation of Suffolk girls who love football. Best of luck in your new adventure, Joe, and thank you for all your hard work at ITFC.

You can't build anything without laying the foundations first. Joe has done that and more. Best of luck with Charlton Joe and hopefully we'll meet again in 2 seasons time!

There is some debate about whether Joe would have kept the women up last season.

Upon seeing the level of investment provided after he left, I have no doubt that he would have.

For as is well documented and never to be forgotten, Joe is the Keepy Uppy Master. Nobody could come near him.

Quality individual all round. I feel nothing but gratitude for everything he's contributed to the club I love.
