Lukic Completes Medical

Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic has completed his medical ahead of finalising his move to the Blues in a deal worth up to £9 million.

According to Sky Sports, the Serbian is set to pen a four-year contract at Portman Road, becoming the eighth new addition of the summer.

The 29-year-old has been with the Cottagers since January 2023 and since then has made 74 starts and 32 sub appearances, scoring three times.

The midfielder, who has a year left on his contract but with Fulham having an option for a further season, started his career with Partizan Belgrade, spending time at Teleoptik on loan before, in 2016, joining Torino where, aside from a season on loan at Levante in Spain, he spent almost seven years.

Born in Sabac, Lukic has won 62 Serbia caps, scoring two goals, and played all their games at both the 2022 World Cup finals and Euro 2024.

Lukic, who would be the first ever Serbian to represent the Blues, adds to Town’s depleted central midfield options and would be the second player recruited from Fulham this summer following defender Issa Diop.

Superb, worried this one might get away but that’s a great signing.

2-3 more, already proven at this level, and alongside the other business then we have a shot

It’ll obviously take a lot of patience with huge changes to squad.

On upside, this season starts with probably the biggest managerial change cycle ever - so hopefully it takes others a while to get to speed too and we can register some cheeky points early

We seem to be building a better more experienced squad than the previous one for the fight for survival.
Like I wrote in a previous post ,i believe Kieran knew that the squad needed a huge cull to have a remote chance for survival and understandably he didn't want to do it. I get the impression GON needed a pretty clean slate to work with and fortunenatly MA and the board seems to be backing him up.

Im actually surprised its that low mind you. Taking into account how long hes been playing in the pl. Great deal for us tho.

Excellent recruiting so far … need a defensive LB and perhaps another no9 … and it will be interesting to see what loans come in at the end of the window… we’ve got a squad of premier league quality… just need to clarify our systems and build relationships… feeling positive for new season but won’t put too much expectation on first few games while team gels …

Runner added 16:14 - Aug 7 United Nations indeed. We were nearly upto 15 countries, but Wes going to Leicester put a stop to that. Still, ITFC, the United Nations of 14 countries, I guess that is similar to half the teams in the EPL.

Ebantias Tetchris not sure what people don’t get about last time out? We went from league one to the prem in one year so had a team of league one and mid championship players for the most part so next step was getting in players at the top of the championship which was right and clearly worked as we ended up near the top to go back up NOW we have that base we can look at and attract better prem or top tier players from other countries. If we can stay up we also then have another tier of players we can go and get.

This is a brilliant signing for me in the morsy mould with more ability likes a yellow and a good crunching tackle exactly what we missed last time out. A lot of the comments from Fulham fans are saying he’s a good player but with only one year left it was good they got a fee not seen any saying ‘he’s this’ or that like you normally do.
