U21s midfielder Steven Turner has rejoined National League Woking on a season-long loan.

Turner, 20, who was with the Cards in the latter stages of last season, trained with the Town first team during pre-season and started the friendly against FC Cartagena during the La Manga training camp.

“I’m delighted to be back,“ Turner said. “I really enjoyed my time here in April and it was clear straight away what a great club this is.

“After speaking with the staff, I knew this was the right place for me to continue my development and get regular first-team football.

“I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting the lads, and doing everything I can to help the team have a successful season.”

Woking director of football Jody Brown added: “We’d always hoped to bring Steven back after he impressed back in April. Of course, that was dependent on Ipswich Town.

“He’s spent pre-season with their first team, but the dialogue never stopped. We are really pleased to have him here for the season.”
