Academy schoolboy Zac Wattley has been named in the England U16s squad for a training camp in Italy which with two friendlies against the hosts.

The Young Lions will be in Florence from Saturday 22nd to Thursday 27th August and face the Italians on the Tuesday and on the final day of their trip, both at the FIGC Coverciano Technical Centre.

Central defender Wattley was a regular with the England U15s last season, winning eight caps and scoring one goal, having been with the Blues academy since he was seven years old. He made his Town U18s debut in March aged only 14.

Over the course of his time with the Blues the Northgate High School pupil has moved from operating as a striker to centre-half.
