Mendel Joining Luton On Loan

Blues youngster Tudor Mendel is joining League One Luton Town on loan.

The 21-year-old made his senior debut in last week’s 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Leicester City but with the club having long planned to send the former Anderlecht and Chelsea winger out to a League One side this summer.

Following his debut, the former England U15 and U17 international signed a new two-year deal which runs to the summer of 2028 with the Blues having an option for a further season.

Mendel is set to be one of a number of Town players moving out on loan ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline with Chieo Ogbene and Cameron Humphreys set to complete moves on that basis to Lincoln and Huddersfield.

timkatieadamitfc added 10:42 - Sep 1 I’m not moaning here but just pointing out a fact, why is it that all our so called highly rated prospects ( Cam by the look of it, Boniface, Tudor and Baggott before going to Millwall ) all go to league 1 clubs, they should be playing championship level if they are that good, especially Cam who when he’s played for us has never looked out of place.

The reason no championship clubs have come in for them is because they are not up to that standard that's another fact. Cameron Humphreys is a good little player but the fact is neither McKenna or O'Neil considered him good enough for either Premier or championship football. If he impresses at Huddersfield then maybe championship clubs will be interested that's how it works. He's a good player and im sure he will be a success at Huddersfield.
