Issa Diop’s Morocco got their Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign off to a winning start, while Sindre Walle Egeli’s Norway U21s moved a point closer to confirming a place at the European Championship.

Diop played the full 90 minutes and became the first Town player to win a Morocco cap - the central defender’s 10th in total - as his side beat Gabon 2-0 in Rabat.

Walle Egeli won his 13th Norway U21s cap as his team drew 0-0 away with the Netherlands to move a point from qualification for next summer’s finals in Serbia and Albania with two games to be played during this international break.
