David Sheepshanks has said on the Karic transfer: ”We will be very pleased to welcome Amir Karic to Ipswich Town. We have made it clear that we will continue to invest in bringing further high quality players to Portman Road to improve an already talented squad. Despite the conjecture over the future of the transfer market, our need is now and in addition to Amir we will are continuing our efforts to strengthen the team.”

We earlier reported that Amir Karic is Slovakian, whereas in fact he is Slovenian. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
