Nilis's Dad Attacks Wright!
Nilis's Dad Attacks Wright!

Luc Nilis’s dad has spoken out against Town keeper Richard Wright after his son received a double broken leg in a collision with the keeper. Roger Nilis, an ex-professional footballer himself, said: "The goalkeeper was wild. He came out at Luc with too much force and I am very upset about that. He had a problem with his knee seven years ago and at the time he thought his career might be over. I told him then and I have said it again that he will come back. He will work 300 per cent to get there because he is a Nilis."

The Villa striker remains in hospital and faces more surgery and presumably visits from his clearly deranged father.

Meanwhile his former club, PSV, have said they will do anything they can to help him in his rehabilitation. Their press officer Pedro Salzaar-Hewitt said: "We are always going to be there to help him if he wants it. He is Aston Villa's player now and what happens next is up to them. But if Luc needs something from us, or Aston Villa look for help, it will be there."

Sound like a nice bunch.

Manu Thetis has returned to Town after his loan spell with Wolves. The Frenchman had hoped that the stay might be permanent, however Wolves manager Colin Lee said: "He admitted he has not done as well as he had hoped and is back training with Ipswich."
