Mahon Keen to Stay Monday, 15th Dec 2003 15:55 On loan midfielder Alan Mahon has reiterated tha6 he's keen to stay at Portman Road when his loan ends on January 8th. The Blackburn player has impressed since joining Town in September. Mahon said: "I don't think I figure in Blackburn's plans and I am sure I will be given permission to play for Ipswich in the FA Cup against Derby. "I want to concentrate on football and my agent knows the score on my feelings about a move. I have spoken to Joe Royle and hopefully the financial situation can be sorted out. "Ian Westlake has done very well on the left side of midfield. He is Ipswich through and through, and that is something I would like to be given the opportunity to be."
