Town's U19s travel to face Chelsea's youngsters on Saturday morning.

Northern Irish striker Sam Morrow, told he can leave on a free transfer recently, has been on a trial spell at West Ham this week.

Erkan Okay, also told he can leave Portman Road, has been training with Ryman League leaders Canvey Island. Okay is also hoping for trials with a number of other clubs.

Academy director Bryan Klug and club chairman David Sheepshanks spent time in Monaco this week looking at their academy set-up.

There could be the possibility of academy player exchanges and a closer relationship with the French club in the future. Monaco are currently building a new academy but already have a good record for bringing through young players.

Town have forged links similar links with other clubs from around Europe in recent years, including sides in Norway, Sweden and Belgium.
