New Town signing Jason De Vos is in Frank Yallop's Canada squad facing the San Jose Earthquakes in a friendly on Saturday. Two of the Canada side - Pat Onstad and Dwayne de Rosario - play for the MLS team, while coach Yallop spent three years with them, winning two titles.

The Canadians are using the match as preparation for their World Cup campaign. This kicks off with a two-legged tie against Belize on June 13th and 16th, both games being played at the Richardson Stadium in Kingston, Ontario.
