Long-serving striker or central defender Richard Naylor has told TWTD that discussions have started between himself and the club regarding a testimonial next season, his tenth as a professional at Portman Road. Naylor was speaking in an interview in the new issue of the fanzine which will be on sale for the first time ahead of Saturday's home game with Burnley.

Naylor told TWTD that talk of a potential testimonial in 2005/06 started when he signed a new two-year deal in the summer: "It has been mentioned, and the club have made positive signs. I think what happens is someone has to write to the club and say that they think I deserve one.

"Obviously, it would be a massive thing for me and a big honour, but I'd like us to get promoted first and that's all I'm really worried about."

In the interview Naylor compares the team which was promoted in 1999/00 with the current side and talks about how his fitness improved after the cause of all his injury problems was discovered. He also speaks about unhappiness in the squad during the relegation season.

TWTD is available from our sellers around Portman Road and from our stand next to the statue of Sir Alf. It is also available by subscription. Go to http://www.twtd.co.uk/subscribe for more information on how to subscribe to the zine and get access to TWTDonline free.
