U18s Lose to Saints
Monday, 18th Oct 2004 09:35

An understrength Town U18 side lost 1-0 at home to Southampton on Saturday lunchtime. The Town squad was without a number of regulars due to call-ups to the senior squad and injuries.

Craig Richards scored the winner for the Saints in the second half.

Town were missing keeper Shane Supple and defender Aidan Collins as they were on the bench for the first team and Billy Clarke, Liam Manning and Gerard Nash due to injury.

On as a sub for the Blues was Charlie Sheringham, son of Teddy, who will be with the Academy for the rest of 2004/05.
