Wright Worry for Town
Wright Worry for Town

Jermaine Wright has emerged as Town's main worry ahead of Town's Sky clash with Coventry City tonight. He missed training yesterday suffering from a flu-bug and George Burlet has said that he will see how Wright is today before making any decision on him.

With Richard Naylor still suffering from sore knees it is likely that James Scowcroft will start up front. This could also mean a recall for Martijn Reuser. Another option might be that David Johnson starts up front with Marcus Stewart with Scowcroft dropping into midfield.

The Town manager has quite a few options to choose from including his choice of formation - will Town line-up as 4-4-2 or 5-3-2?

Town's worries from last week, Fabian Wilnis and Jim Magilton, are both fit enough to start while Mike Salmon is fit enough for a place on the bench after his hand injury. Town squad: R Wright, Salmon, Wilnis, Croft, Clapham, McGreal, Venus, Hreidarsson, Bramble, Scales, J Wright, Magilton, Holland, Reuser, Stewart, Scowcroft, Johnson and Naylor.

Business chiefs are reporting that Town's promotion to the Premier League has seen the Ipswich's economy soar. Apparently this isn't down to the increased wages the players are getting going into nightclub coffers, but is due to an added feel-good factor since that day in May.

An extra £1 million a week is flowing into the town with the number of visitors up 4%. Perhaps fans should demand some sort of 'football tax' to be paid by businesses to the club and the fans who have supported it through the First Division years.
