More on Beam Lift
More on Beam Lift
Friday, 24th Nov 2000 11:29

TWTD NewsNet reader Oli Draper has added a bit more news on the lift currently being undertaken: "Apparently there are 2 main cranes for lifting the main beam - a 400 ton and a 300 ton one, as well as 2 others for lifting bracings etc. The weather conditions this morning are apparently optimal and it will apparently take approx 30 mins to lift the beam into a position ready for the bolts to start being fitted. Also the main supervisor claims the beam is within 5 mm of the length required and will be no trouble to fit."

With all still on schedule it seems that there will indeed be 2000 extra seats for the final four games of the season.

Apologies for the possible squad earlier, it should of course have included TWTD columnist John Scales. Due to various other commitments we were unable to bring you his coumn this week, although arrangements should be back to normal next week.
