More Surgery for Barron
More Surgery for Barron
Monday, 21st Mar 2005 11:28

Reserves midfielder or full-back Scott Barron will have more surgery on his troublesome groin injury later today. Barron, 19, had an operation designed to correct the problem earlier in the season but is still feeling some discomfort.

Barron told the club site: "I've seen the specialist and he wanted me to train and play in the reserve game against Cambridge last week so that he could see the problem at its worst.

"I'm obviously disappointed that I've got to have more surgery but injuries are part of the game and I have to get on with it.

"The operation means I will be out for the rest of the year but at least it means I can concentrate on getting fit through the summer and can come back 100 per cent for the start of the new season."

Barron made his first team debut in the 2-0 home Carling Cup win against Brentford in August and has been an unused sub on six occasions.
