Town's young reserves side were defeated 1-0 by Fulham at the Cottagers' Motspur Park training ground last night. The home side's goal came in the 79th minute from Stuart Noble.

Dean McDonald, Lubo Guentchev and Blair Hammond had Town's best chances and McDonald and Hammond had strikes cleared off the line in an even game.

The two sides were packed with youngsters, Lewis Price the only Town player with first team experience, while Fulham's most senior players were keeper Mark Crossley and Bury St Edmunds-born central defender Ian Pearce.
