Proudlock to Town? Wednesday, 21st Sep 2005 10:16 Town are interested in taking sacked Sheffield Wednesday striker Adam Proudlock on trial. The 24-year-old was dismissed for breaches of the Owls' code of conduct earlier this week. The 6ft-tall frontman started his career with Wolves before moving on loan to Clyde, Nottingham Forest, Tranmere and then Wednesday, before making his move to South Yorkshire a permanent one for £150,000 in September 2003. Proudlock came on as a sub for the Owls in their defeat at Portman Road earlier in the season and was booed by home fans after going to ground very easily under the attention of Fabian Wilnis. Town are continuing to look for a loan striker and are hopeful of hearing something today or tomorrow.
