Town's U18s will play Liverpool or Cardiff City away in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup. Town, who are the holders of the trophy, defeated Leeds 1-0 at Elland Road in the third round.

The Blues will find out who they face when the Welshmen travel to Merseyside on Saturday, December 17th.

Earlier in the season, the Town youngsters defeated Liverpool 3-2 in a league game at their Kirkby Academy with two goals from Liam Craig and one from Danny Haynes.

Fourth round ties must be played before Saturday, 21st January 2006 at a club's main ground. If they progress in the tournament and are handed a home tie, Town could schedule another U18 Portman Road game for a Saturday when there are no senior matches.

The recent league game with Norwich City brought in a crowd of 3,268 and £20,000 for the Academy.
