Jordan Rhodes netted his 34th academy goal of the season as the U18s defeated Coventry 1-0 at Playford Road on Saturday morning. The U16s fared less well, losing 1-0 to the same opposition.

Rhodes scored in the seventh minute of a game watched by first team squad members Dean McDonald and Jaime Peters. Jai Reason was the star of the show for the U18s, who suffered an injury blow at the end of last week with an ankle injury looking likely to rule Ian Nimmo out for the season.

Town's U15s are competing at a tournament at Warwick University next week and will also be at the prestigious Milk Cup competition in Northern Ireland in August. Contrary to reports in Holland, Town will not compete at the Ten Brinke Bouw tournament this season, a tournament in which they finished second last year.
