Bradford City manager Colin Todd has ruled out a move for released Town striker Dean McDonald. The Bantams boss says he had a conversation with Joe Royle and the former Arsenal trainee was mentioned.

Todd said: "I spoke to Joe Royle to ask which players he would be letting go at the end of the season.

"McDonald's name came up, but he's not the player for me.

The Blues have also released Scott Mitchell, Gerard Nash (now on loan at Southend), Cathal Lordan (on trial at Cork City), Aidan Collins (loan at Stockport), Charlie Sheringham (trial at Crystal Palace), Jack Haverson (trial at Bournemouth), Stuart Ainsley, Kevin Horlock (loan at Doncaster with view to a permanent move), Adam Proudlock and Jim Magilton.

Last season's FA Youth Cup-winning captain, Liam Craig, joined Falkirk in January having been told he would not be offered a professional contract.
