Midfielder Owen Garvan says he has no intention of leaving the Blues at this stage of his career and wants to win trophies with Town. Garvan has been one of the Portman Road hits of the season having made his first team debut in the opening day game against Cardiff.

The Irishman said: "It has been a big season for me - I have made my debut and kept my place in the team - but while I have enjoyed my football it is disappointing that we haven't done better.

"If I'm honest I'm frustrated that I have not made more appearances. I want to play every single game, but at least being young I suppose I still have several seasons ahead of me.

"I look at how West Ham and Wigan have performed in the Premiership this season and think to myself: 'We could do that'. In West Ham's case they are also in the semi-final of the FA Cup and could win it. When you think where they were this time last year they have come a long way.

"I want to win things, get my hands on some silverware, and I would love to do it with Ipswich. I read the papers and I'm aware of the speculation linking me with other clubs. But at the moment I am just looking to do well with Ipswich and that means getting into the Premiership as soon as possible."
