Cardiff City boss Dave Jones is out of the running for the Town job after committing himself to the Bluebirds until 2008. The former Southampton manager was amongst those understood to be interesting the Blues.

Jones agreed a new contract with Sam Hammam last night.

Meanwhile, Ian Holloway, who has expressed his interest in the Town job, has denied any contact with Yeovil Town regarding the vacancy at Huish Park. However, the on-gardening-leave QPR boss has now been linked with Plymouth should Stoke's new owners reappoint former boss Tony Pulis.

Interviews for the Town job continue in London today.
