Town recorded their third successive 1-1 draw as they completed their tour of Holland and Belgium with a disappointing game at FC Dordrecht. Richard Naylor netted for the Blues, with both goals coming in the opening seven minutes.

Boss Jim Magilton played Sam Parkin in an advanced central midfield/deep-lying striker role ahead of Vemund Brekke Skard with Jaime Peters on the right and Ian Westlake on the left. Danny Haynes partnered Nicky Forster in front of Parkin.

At the back, Fabian Wilnis and Richard Naylor were joined by Chris Casement and Scott Barron.

The home side, who play in the Dutch Eerste Divisie (second division), opened the scoring with their first chance of the game via Charlie van den Ouweland.

The Blues hit back when Richard Naylor headed in a Jaime Peters freekick in a game of few chances and little quality.

Strikers Nicky Forster and Danny Haynes both forced the home keeper into saves and late on Westlake had an effort cleared off the line.

At half-time Lewis Price took over from Shane Supple in goal, while Darren Currie replaced Westlake and Billy Clarke came on for Haynes.

Fabian Wilnis, who had a large family following in the crowd, had a decent chance from a Currie corner but headed over.

Jason De Vos was introduced as a striker in the 77th minute and from his knockdown another sub Darryl Knights had the ball in the net, only for the referee to rule the goal out for a push by the Canadian.

Finnish U21 international midfielder Marko Kolsi was introduced for the final 15 minutes but once again failed to impress.

Dordrecht were the worst of the three tour opponents and the Blues put in a disappointing display, lacking a creative spark or much of a threat up front. Hopefully, the additions of Owen Garvan and Gavin Williams will change that when Town face Lazio next week.

The pick of the Town players throughout the tour was probably Jaime Peters, taking part in his first ever pre-season. Billy Clarke and Darryl Knights both looked sharp in tonight's game, while skipper De Vos did well throughout, but overall the Blues never really dominated any of the three sides they faced.
