The Town players and staff enjoyed some sightseeing yesterday prior to tonight's match against Torpedo Moscow. Red Square and the Kremlin were visited, but maybe more importantly they later sat down to watch a video of the first leg.

David Sheepshanks warns the PFA Chief that he may have a fight on his hands if the players’ strike is to go ahead. The Premiership may take the PFA to court to prevent such action as Sheepshanks considered the strike illegal: "My understanding of the legal situation is that the PFA cannot call players out on strike because they aren't in dispute with the clubs".

Those that were taking their boots with them to Moscow to play in a friendly match are advised that trainers are needed as the match is to be played on Astroturf so therefore studded boots are not required.

The Town players and staff flew out to Moscow today ahead of many of the fans that will cheer them on. All 22 players in the named squad made the trip with Bramble and Reuser the doubts as reported earlier, but they still travelled.

Town manager George Burley was surprisingly upbeat after Saturday's 4-0 loss to Manchester United. He felt the scoreline flattered United a little while his side are are not getting the rub of the green.

Norwich City have apologised to Town after their scoreboard proclaimed the legend "Manchester United 1, Scum 0" at the weekend. City aim for a family image with the club giving free tickets to schools amongst other things. The term 'Scum' apparently is not in keeping with this.
