Really poor performance. Outclassed by Charlton. Players looked drained of confidence. Walton prevented a thrashing:

i was hoping for a bounce, we got a splat. 6 at the back two wingers and 9 and 10 in Lala land. embarrassing, a chasm n MF no penetration movement or passion bar Chaplin

Shameful!!!!!
Clearly some have downed tools and only came for Cook
I couldn't give their goalkeeper any marks as I didn't realise they had one
Service to Bonne was diabolical
No wonder he can't score
Messi wouldn't have scored with that service
Embarrassing

Oh dear. Yet again we make another team look good and seemed to have reverted to hoofball again.
Walton saved us with some great saves. Easily man of the match.
Back four disorganised+ Janoi playing on wrong side. (Q. Why can't they train players to kick with both feet?)
Evans and Fraser have yet another miserable game. Can someone let me know what they do?
Edwards flashy but no final product. Morsy just wasn't interested, maybe unsurprisingly given events.
If Bonne spent more time playing instead of complaining he might start scoring again.
Aluko again put in a shift. Chaplin, Piggot ok and KV Young ok but rusty
#packoutPR now looking risky. (Owners may have to use Omicron to make themselves absent.)

Kpblues you can't train a player to kick with both feet you might make a slight improvement but you are born either right or left footed some but very few are two footed. Arnold Murhen was very left footed but a superb player. Unfortunately most of our players at the moment can't kick with either it seems. Looks like a major clear out in the summer again most of our squad looks so lightweight seems to be the Ipswich way sign good little players.

Our worst performance of the season. No shots on target, and a very poor performance by all except Walton. We could have easily conceded 5 tonight. Some of you may think sacking the manager was a good thing, tonight we looked completely rudderless with basic mistakes being made all over the park. I pity the poor sod coming in, it's one hell of a task, Not sure I want to watch at the weekend.

MoM Walton, saved it (no pum intended) from a really embarrassing result.

Performance speaks for itself. Thought the ref was too easily connned at times by Charlton’s play acting, but that was the least of our worries last night.

Reading the guidelines for posting on this page very carefully, I begin by saying I paid £10 to EFL to watch this match online. I live 400 or so miles away from Charlton/Ipswich, and this service has given me the opportunity to watch my home town team for the first time in many years. Last night ,the performances by the Ipswich players, Walton excepted, and Vincent Young excepted for a few minutes here and there, were dire. I got my £10 worth listening to Brenner Woolley's commentary, and Mick Mills's observations. At the beginning, Mick said that it's the players on the pitch, their commitment, their initiative, their performance, that matter, not managers. 'Nuff said.

Four- or five-nil would have been a fair result. A brief period on the front foot in the first quarter evaporated and after that we hadn't a clue. We really looked like a team struggling to keep out of the relegation zone. Forget the playoffs, let's just try to get it together enough to stay mid table.

Good luck John, you've taken on quite a task.

Hope Ashton can find somebody to grab this squad by the scruff and wring a consistent performance out of them.

We talk about formations after every game but when are we going to play players in the actual positions?!
Never seen us play that poorly away for home before and hopefully wont again! No effort, No desire, No energy and currently no hope! Thank god Walton was between the sticks because it could have been 5or6
