Going into this match created so many questions about us. Both team appeared on paper to be equally matched. After 40 minutes it looked like a 0 0 draw with both sides cancelling each other. We did the unbelievable and created 2 minutes of utter magic. Broadband and Hurst combined to give us a 2 goal lead which must have left Barnsley stunned. But give Barnsley their due they kept on battling and this game was good. Cometh the man CC does it again. Broadband penalty does not matter. Promotion now on the horizon.

Morsy was immense tonight. Defender, ball player and marshalling the troops. The fitness of our players is unbelievable and what fantastic January signings to turn us from a team struggling to win games to one that is undoubtedly the best footballing side and most entertaining to watch in this league. ITFC is back in business on and off the field.

The 100 goals and 100 points is still a green go! Another amazing referee performance! The superlatives continue to grow. Chaplin Broadhed and Hirst put in excellent displays. The holding midfield and defence outclassed the Barnsley side which had won the last nine home games in a row.

To be honest all of this starting 11 deserve at least an 8 . The way they worked their socks off to close down barnsley. Hirst gave one of the best centre forward displays we will ever see in a Town shirt . Held the ball , a constant threat to their defenders , got an outstanding goal and gave everything all night.

What a performance! Everyone contributed in some way to an amazing win. Hirst was immense up front and his goal just before half time was top class and I think was the defining moment in game that knocked the stuffing out of Barnsley (team and fans!). Wolfy and Burgess were excellent at the back and managed their attacking threat with composure. Thought Chaplin was off the boil a bit however showed his class and predatory goal scoring instincts to get the third. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SATURDAY and better still will be there with my daughter who has never seen any Town success in her 16 years!😀

After the initial 15 a tricky first half without real goal threats the two goals settled it . Second half professional performance never really had me concerned for all Barnsleys huffing and puffing
On to Saturday.
