Like the Morecambe game an early goal sets up the game and the win. No getting bogged down in the usual plan. Whether we can do this against the better than FGR opponents in every game left this season remains to be seen but achieved what was expected today, no more, no less.

Forest Green did not offer much challenge but we had a job we had to do and it was duly done. Plenty of chances, more imaginative play this week and the left wing matches the right now with Broadhead linking nicely with Leif. Luongo is a muscly Morsey; really like the cut of his jib. Broadhead has spark. Jackson has found his niche. Chappers took his chances well and has us jumping a few other times - as did Wes. Good game to watch. Lovely that Freddie scored on Bobby's 78 minute applause. Good feel to today and nice to see the team smiling.

You can only beat what’s in front of you. Need to build on this and win next 3 games.

Forrest Green showed why they are the poorest team in the league today and anything less than a 3 nil win would have been a under par performance for me. The biggest disappointment for me was Hirst who looks incapable of playing up front on his own due to his lack of control and hold up play and capped it off by missing a good chance a fine all round display. Ladapo must wonder why he's starting on the bench considering he's goal scoring record is not at all that bad plus he's hold up play is far superior.
