Frustrating to give two penalties away - almost trying to through away the points. However, all credit to them for keeping doing and an important victory to finish a series against top teams. Need to press on now and get maximum points against the lower clubs

Although the score line suggests a close game i thought we were much the better side apart from ten minutes at the start of the second half. But we must be more resolute when defending a lead. I think there is a case to start with Dominic Ball in midfield to tighten things up although this might weaken us as an attacking force.

Thought Davis was great. So pleased for Freddie. To come back from two penalties was immense

We started with confidence and dominated most of first half. Lost our way in the first part of the second period and let them in a bit but Portsmouth showed little footballing quality.Penalties were the only way they were going to score.. After our substitutions we found the key thanks to Freddie Lapado's velcro like holding up and Kyle Edward's brilliant runs down the left side; at last! on the left side. I thought for a while the referee was going to disallow our winner. Great game, fantastic football from us and stoppage time felt an eternity.

What a rollercoaster of a match! As per last year Pompey came to time waste and frustrate however after they scored they seemed to gain a bit more belief and knocked it about better. Wolfy very much at fault for the first penalty and dropped Walton right in it. Good driving run from Fridge to play in Davis whose cross was perfection as was Ladappo’s finish. Very surprised that he did not start and was a bit disappointed with John Jules. However the danger man throughout the match and my man of the match was Wes Burns. The first time the crowd delayed returning the ball was funny however when it kept happening it became a bit embarrassing and annoying, even if Pompey time wasted whenever they could when they were level.
