Good performance by everyone in the team!!! COYB! Very good debut from Woolfenden who showed good poise on the ball. Spence and Waghorn outstanding. Good to see Sears finally on the score sheet. Makes up for the last game :)

Utterly great day out. Sears' run for the opener was as good as any singer you'll ever see, with pace, determination, skill and delivery. His goal showed the same attributes. Bart was wonderful. Waggy good in every way. Nydam is growing into the team, Spence excellent, as was Webbo. Woolfy a rock. Yo!

A fantastic performance from the boys, what a good way to end our away campaign. Well done Bryan Klug, finally a manager realises the potential of our youngsters and gives them a start. Having 7 U23s in their was really pleasing and that is what should be happening at this point of the season, with nothing left to play for. First half was decent, football was good but we failed to really capitalise on our possession and get many good chances. Saying that, I thought Carayol had a terrific first half, his ambition and confidence on the ball are really encouraging and I thought that he would be the catalyst of any good move. 45-60 was a big drop, and we sat back and let them come at us, with a fantastic Bialkowski save from close range all that stood in the way of Reading going 1-0 up. After that short spell, I think we were brilliant, and although I was initially infuriated that we'd brought Sears on for the injured Carayol, there was an uncharacteristic sign of self belief, and he was constantly do something when on the ball. I though Spence was brilliant down the right hand side, leaving Richards clueless, and he played a key part in the first 2 goals. From then we looked hungry for more, and it seemed inevitable that we'd score again. Despite an aspect of luck, I was really impressed with Sears' goal as he showed the tenacity to want to get involved and he earned his reward for his high pressing. The 4th was deep in added time, with everyone exhausted...other than Waghorn, who drove through the Reading defence, and Connolly, who followed his run and smashed home from 6 yards after an unselfish lay-off from the former.

Woolfenden showed composure, strength and most importantly commitment at CB, and if we are treated to performances like that again, he will maintain a spot in this Ipswich defence. Same goes for Nydam, who was one of the most creative and at times Folami, who I felt didn't offer much following his stunning 45 minute cameo a few weeks back. Webster also played well in defence in terms of distribution, whilst Knudsen and Kenlock both produced solid performances. Waghorn was running right to the last kick and he was rewarded when he set up the 4th, Connolly did well to support the defence, and Gleeson did his job after coming on - preventing them from scoring. An all round good show from Town. COYB!!!

Cut away some cobwebs and there is a decent team underneath. Giving the youngsters a chance was a no brainer abd proves the emerging talents that we have. Go for another Bobby Robson type and give him a three year plan to get things right for the future. There is no quick fix on the budget restraints that we have,
