Missed the game today...but it sounds like I didn't miss anything.

Poor town performance against a motivated neil harris side but will take the three points. Too many mistakes, sloppy play, backwards and sideways passing, very disjointed with lack of ideas in the final third. Trying too many tippy tappy passes and please can we cross the ball into the box !!

Tom Carroll is turning out to be a very good player; I don't know why he doesn't get the ratings.

Why does Pigott get ratings even as high as this. We played poorly but he was the poorest. Can't win a ball in the air, can win a tussle and gave away so many poor passes. I can understand why he hasn't had the starts. He's simply not good enough!

Well I can only describe that as a disappointing win. Poor performance, more relief than joy when the goal was scored against the run of play. Could have already been 1/2 nil down before then. Gillingham a much better footballing team today, pulling us all over the place at times. Funny I am sure I wrote a similar report previously this season under a different manager.

Just watched the match in iPlayer having listened to it yesterday. We clearly did not play well and Gills under new management gave us a tough match and looked a different team from when we played them at theirs. Their striker Oliver was a real handful. First half we controlled with a lot of possession but could not break them down as they had 10 behind the ball most of the time. Second half we were dire up to Chaplin’s quality strike following a good pass from Edmundson. Thought we then saw the game out well although never looked like getting a second. Donacian was MOM for his quality defending and also getting forward to support Burns. Wolf was also very solid. Disappointments were Norwood who struggled to get into the game, Thompson who did very little and often gave the ball away, and Carroll who struggled to generate anything meaningful going forward. An important three points and hopefully against Donny the team will play a lot better.

in the 15 minutes that he was on, Bonne showed that he is a level above Pigott. When part of an attacking passing movement, Evans, Norwood and Chaplin all too often stopped to think rather than actually passing and the impetus was lost. I can't see the evidence for signing Carroll, let alone actually playing him. Yet again Walton showed his "signing of the season" credentials.
